We have been getting a lot of phone calls lately regarding ticks. If you happen to find a tick on your pet please do not panic! Removing a tick can easily be done at home using a pair of tweezers. If you don't end up getting the entire tick out and there are mouth parts remaining in the skin, don't panic. In most cases the body can naturally push it out eventually, much like a splinter. Monitor the area, keep it clean and dry. Contact us if you are concerned.
The following link has a lot of really helpful information geared toward client education on anything you need to know about ticks. There are videos and FAQ on things such as how to properly remove a tick and how to identify one. https://ticktalkcanada.com/ If you have any questions please contact us via email. Just a friendly reminder: If you are needing tick prevention or any other medication refills/ food orders our preferred method of contact at this time is via EMAIL. Our phone lines are overwhelmingly busy at this time due to our COVID-19 protocols. We are trying to make sure that the phone lines are open to receiving incoming calls from clients with scheduled appointments and order pick ups. Thank you to all of our valued clients for being so understanding during this difficult time. Comments are closed.
