Dental Care

Dental Care

Pets, like people, need regular dental care. Studies have shown that greater than 85% of dogs and cats over 3 years of age have some form of dental and/or gum disease. Imagine not brushing your teeth or having them cleaned for 3 years!

Dental disease in cats and dogs can be prevented with routine dental cleanings, regular examinations, and a healthy diet. All of these can significantly improve your pet’s quality of life and extend their longevity.

Things that you as a pet owner can do at home to help:
  • Routine brushing of teeth
  • Feeding a dental diet
  • Using a water additive or other products

For dental procedures we can either do them here in clinic with one of our veterinarians or we can refer you to a board certified dental specialist (Dr.Haws). The appropriate recommendation will be made based on the severity of your pets periodontal disease and the treatment recommendations.

If you have an questions regarding dental health or if you are interested in scheduling a dental cleaning please give our office a call to discuss with a member of the veterinary team!
