IMPORTANT UPDATE TO OUR PROTOCOL

3/23/2020

Due to the current state of emergency in the province, it is necessary to change some of our regular clinic policies. Our goal is to keep everyone, including the clinic staff and clients, healthy and therefore enable us to remain open to care for your pets during this time.

Our clinic hours will be from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Appointment availability will be prioritized for pets that are ill, have had an injury, or experiencing and emergency. Please call us at 519-622-6988 so we can triage your request for an appointment.
Our doors will be locked. We are asking clients to follow the following protocol:
  • Remain in their vehicle when they arrive.
  • Call us at 519-622-6988 to let us know you have arrived; history and any concerns will be taken over the phone.
  • When the Veterinarian and/or RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) is ready, a staff member will meet the client at their vehicle to bring the pet inside, clients will remain in their vehicle.
  • Once the patient has been assessed, the Veterinarian or RVT will call the owner to go over their findings. if the client needs to come into the building, the Veterinarian or RVT will make that decision.
  • Payment can be made by debit or credit card on our mobile unit; a staff member will meet the client at their vehicle with the final invoice and medication if needed. The invoice will have been discussed in advance by the Veterinarian or RVT.

If you would prefer to reschedule your pet's appointment, please call or email the clinic at info@mainstreetanimalhospital.ca

Prescriptions:
We recommend you call to pre order any prescriptions and expect a 24-48 hour wait for refills. Please call us from your car when you have arrived at the clinic and we will deliver it to your car. It would be appreciated if you could prepay for your prescriptions.

Food Sales:
in regards to food sales, our supplier is experiencing  a much larger demand for food orders, deliveries are taking 3-5 business days to arrive. We recommend you call to pre order food and pay for it over the phone by credit card to increase efficiency when you arrive at the clinic. Call us when you arrive at the clinic and we will deliver the food to your car.

Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times. Hopefully if we work together, we can keep everyone safe and healthy. If you have any questions, please call us at 519-622-6988.
